First, Some Caricature News

The funniest and greatest blog having to do with caricatures (present company excluded) I have found, and it is here.

And it hasn't been updated in five years, sad to say. It may just be that the doctor stopped getting rejects and that was the end of it. It's a dag gone shame if I say so myself.

 . . . .

In other caricature related news, George W. Bush is a painter now. I just want to make sure everybody knows that.

A lot of people strongly dislike George W. Bush.

If I am to attempt to say something that everyone can agree with, I will say the fact that George Bush likes to paint now, surely isn't any reason to dislike him more. Am I right? Who's with me?
 High five...

. . . .

Here's something else that blew my mind a bit.
Tobias Gutman. Who knows the name Tobias gutman?
He's a traveling face drawer who uses a really inventive setup and approach to handling the customer and the drawing and everything. It's really inspiring. Go to this link and I can assure you with the full backing of Aaron Philby's Blog Realm that it will open up for you in a new window.

And that's all for Caricature News

And Now...My rejects for the week in chronological order

Why?       ...uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh      just because.

Why? It's hard to say.......maybe the polish and line quality led mom to conclude that I made this drawing by collaging all my habits together.

Why? Cuz the girl saw it and cried. But she had outright refused to smile for me. But when she first saw the drawing she sorta laughed, like, Haha, yeah. I was being a grump, and then as I went to go do lamination the girl ran up and hugged her mom and cried. To me that looks like repentance. But maybe it wasn't. Anyhow, the boss was there and she did the redraw and let me keep the sale so all's well.

Why? Because she was Chinese and also because this drawing is Brains-blow-outingly dull, except of course for all the non-facial flare I added after she peaked at the drawing and became very very... scene-makingly animated in reaction to the ugliness she saw which was actually my attempt at rummaging for beauty, misread.
